Abstract (EN)
Nowadays, metal coatings are widely used and applied using various methods. The simplest and most economically feasible of these methods is widely used electroplating. In this study, it is aimed to improve the mechanical properties of TI6Al4V alloys by changing the coating parameters and performing zinc electroplating. Moreover, the effects of ZrO2 particle reinforcement on zinc coatings on the mechanical properties of the coatings were investigated. In this context; after coatings of TI6Al4V alloys, tribometer analysis, scratch resistance and adhesion strength analysis, roughness and surface analysis, microstructure analysis with scanning electron microscope (SEM) were performed. It has been determined that the surface preparation of TI6Al4V alloys before coating is effective on the coatings. In addition, it is concluded that the coating parameters of both zinc and ZrO2 reinforced zinc coatings have different effects on each mechanical performance.
