The determination of the relation between total quality management applications and the techer performance(According to the teacher)

Teaching , throughout history, has played an important role in progressing the communities. Because, the education is one the most important effects in progressing individuals and communities and one of the most important components of the education system, perhaps first, is the techer who applies the system. The success of none of systems can be indipendent from those applying that system. In this point of view, the guarantee of a community?s future is dependent on that community?s education system, the success of the education system is dependent on the qualifications of teachers. From the time the teaching was admitted as a professional job, the factors that affect the performances of the techers have been a search topic. The aim of our study is to determine the effects of Total Quality Management (TQM) on the techer performance and to make some suggestions by finding negative and positive aspects of the application.To be able to reach the aim of the study, by getting the ideas of 305 techers with scanning model, the relationship between TQM applications and teacher performance was tried to be found. To be able to get the ideas of teachers, the questionnaire that was developed by the researchers whose relaibility and validity were admited was used. This data collection tool consists of two parts. First part consists of demographic questions representing independent variables. Second part consists of the questions that aims to determine teachers reactions when TQM principles apply.In the result of the study, 90% percent of the participants believe that the performances of the teachers will increase when TQM principles apply. The belief that the performances of the teachers will increase doesn?t differ from the participants? sex and the quality of the school they work for and age and seniority but it differs from the school that one works for.Key Words: TQM, TQM in Education, Teacher Performance and TQM.
