Abstract (EN)
The research is a descriptive study in the relational screening model in which married individuals engaged in intra-community and non-community marriages are examined in terms of marital satisfaction, marital adjustment, and life satisfaction. The research group consists of married individuals living in Hatay province in 2017-2019.The research group was reached by snowball method and the research group was made up of 313 married individuals, 174 females-139 males. When married individuals were evaluated in terms of ethnicity, 65.5% (n = 205) were intra-community and 35.5% (n = 108) were non-community; In terms of denomination, 70.6% (n = 221) were intra-community and 29.4% (n = 92) were non-community.The research's data were collected from the 'Life Satisfaction Scale', 'Marriage Satisfaction Scale', 'The Marriage Compliance Scale' and 'The Personal Information Form' prepared by the researcher. In the study, Whitney U-Test was used for binary comparisons and Kruskall-Wallis non-paramedic tests were used for multiple comparisons. According to the results of the research, there was a significant difference in marital satisfaction, marital adjustment and life satisfaction in individuals who engaged intra-community and non-community marriage on the basis of ethnicity. On the basis of sect, there was no significant difference in marital satisfaction, marital adjustment and life satisfaction between individuals engaged in inter-community and non-community marriages. When the inter group results are analyzed, it is seen that the average ranks in marriage satisfaction and marriage adjustment are similar, starting with the highest rankaverage:' Individuals of the same ethnicity - the same denomination (intra- community), different denomination (non-community) - different ethnicity, the same ethnicity - different denomination (non-community), different ethnicity - the same denominaton (non-community)'.There was no significant difference between the groups in terms of life satisfaction.
