A research to determine the effectiveness of social expectations to social responsibility practices of private education institutions

Social responsibility as old as humanity, has started to spread on the behalf of awareness of communities. It has been a common opinion for the private sector, using amount of this force to contribute social welfare. This commitment to social awareness and social responsibility of enterprises is the purpose of this study. On the other hand, the secondary purpose of this study is that social responsibility which has increased hollow is neccessity for businesses. Does social responsibility? Does the social obligation?To accomplish this goal, prepared a questionnarrie to applie 137 private educational institution located in Elazığ, Erzurum and Malatya which they has ability to represent Eastern Anatolia Region. 12 administrator of the institution has not agreed to do the survey. The questionnaire has been implemented with 125 administrator of intitution that agreed to participate the survey by using e-mail, telephone and face to face interviews methods. The results that gain from the survey has been anaylzed with statistical programming-SPSS 17.0.As a result of the analysis of social expectations and awareness of social responsibility of enterprises was seen as contributing to positive practices. However it has been seen that the concept of social responsibility now became a neccessity for private education institutions.
