Abstract (EN)

Gender is scales, individual; scale, gender is weight. Although it is seen that even a broken clock shows the right time twice a day, it has never been seen throughout human history that the gender scale is balanced. Individuals stand in separate centers as the formation parts of the gender scale and one scale is called woman and the other scale is called man. Gender on the other hand, has always been and continues to be a burden on women and men with the divided weight of roles and stereotypes it brings. In addition, the heaviest burdens of the gender scale are placed on women in every area of life. According to social and cultural norms, women have characteristics such as passive, emotional, delicate, self-sacrificing, and altruistic. Due to the fertility which is the biological characteristic of women, the primary role assigned by gender is motherhood. Motherhood is considered sacred in all societies. Every woman is expected to be a mother and women who do not choose to be mothers are looked upon with disdain. Women who cannot become mothers due to biological disorders are seen as incomplete and inadequate. As for a disabled woman becoming a mother, it is thought that she is inadequate in taking care of the child and the house. The roles assigned to women come to light at this point. A woman should be a mother, if possible, have a normal birth (if she gives birth by cesarean, it is thought that she has not internalized motherhood), feed her baby (the motherhood of a woman who does not breastfeed or cannot breastfeed is questioned), take full care of the baby and play games to support its development. In addition to the responsibilities of the baby, she should also fulfill other responsibilities of the house. While she is expected to do chores such as cooking, washing dishes, cleaning, ironing, maintaining the general order of the house, also she should not give up her femininity just because she is a mother and should show interest in her husband, should not leave her husband's sexual desires unanswered. iv Gender roles do not exempt women who work outside the home from the aforementioned roles. Women are in a disadvantage position at working life, too. One of the first questions asked at the interviews during the recruitment process is marital status, the other is whether or not they have children. Despite the sanctification of motherhood, when it comes to women wanting to enter the labor market, gain economic freedom, things suddenly turn upside down. The fact that women have a fertile biological structure constitutes an obstacle for employers. Working women, on the other hand, have to struggle with difficulties such as low wages, glass ceiling syndrome, verbal and sexual harassment. The advantages and disadvantages of the role of motherhood, which is the primary role assigned to women, have been and continue to be the subject of research in many studies. The purpose of this study is to conduct a bibliometric analysis of theses on "Gender" and "Mother" in line with the determined parameters, to interpret the findings with various visuals, tables and graph, and to examine the literature on the subject with a conceptual framework.
