Abstract (EN)
SUMMARY Consumers lead production with their demands. The purpose of this study is to determine whether consumers are aware of their effects on production and consequently on production planning. Thus, 574 questionnaires were applied in seven central counties in Ankara with respect to density, socio-economic and cultural structure of the population. The questionnaire aims to determine their consuming habits, behaviour towards the problems that faced during or after consumption and their ongoing or possible effects on production. Questionnaire results are presented under the below topics: "demographic structure of the interviewers", "information on behaviour, opinions and thougts of the interviewers during and after purchasing consumer products" and "information on the thought of the interviewers about the legal arrangements that protect consumers and about directing and controlling production". The study reveals that the consumers living in the central counties within the city of Ankara are not aware of their affects on production and production planning.
