Abstract (EN)
This study, aims to evaluate the broadcasting life of the Takvim-i Ticaret newspaper, which was published in Istanbul in the last years of the Tazimat period and was accepted as an official trade newspaper. In this study, the news and articles in the copies of the newspaper published in the years 1866-1867 were considered within the scope of the development of the Ottoman State economy and the innovations that were considered useful for the development of the Ottoman economy were revealed. The publication of Takvim-i Vekayi in 1831 increased the interest in the press in the subjects of the Ottoman Empire. As a result of increasing interest, a large number of private newspapers began publishing in order to make political publications. The spread of press and publication activities in Istanbul has facilitated many writers and intellectuals with different ideas and ideas to express their opinions on many policies of the state through newspapers. In 1866, Takvim-i Ticaret was published in such an environment After the publication of the newspaper, in order to improve the economy of the Ottoman State, many different innovations that could increase the production and exportation in the field of agriculture, industry and trade were presented to the attention of the public.
