Abstract (EN)
Since the age in which we have been is the communication age, it became easier for people to communicate with each other and the society, as well as to access authorities to claim their rights. Although the fact that the speed of the spread of information has increased has made it easier for people to access useful information, but this can also be used as a weapon by the malicious people against innocent persons. Today, innocent people could be put in the position of suspect-defendant in the eyes of the competent authorities by malicious people's allegations either through media or claim and denunciation, as well as they could be ostracized from the society. For this reason, in order to ensure that innocent individuals are protected from unjustified allegations, "slander" is formed as a type of crime in almost every legal system from past to present.
