Abstract (EN)

As the concept of globalisation started to spread all around the world, the world-wide surrounding large-scale crisis and national scale crisis become an convulsing effect for the businesses. Due to the mentioned economic environment, businesses and accordingly employers put into play various efforts in order to sustain their enterprises.Short Working Institution, which aims to make businesses, who are competing to survive in an environment of ever changing economic conditions, more adaptable and capable of coping with these sudden changes in addition to providing state support, come into force in the Turkish Labor Law in 2003 and its content has extended over time according to needs.
