Abstract (EN)
Turkish coffee is a tool which provides public to change public sphere and is a intangible cultural heritage which accompanies us in every area of our lives. Turkish coffee has a long, hard discovery and recognition process. In this process there were problems about turkish coffee to be a tradition but they couldn't prevent. Culture is not stable. It modernizes itself in the dynamism of life and it is open to changes. But turkish coffee keeps its traditions with its own preparation method, serving style and with the meaning it has. Turkish coffee evokes friendship, conversation and new beginnings. These connotations show up in graphic design works too. By the effect of globalization and popular culture, day by day permanency is decreasing. But turkish coffee is still saving its tradition. This tradition reflects to the graphic design works and shows the real meaning of it by cultural images. Nowadays, the works about turkish coffee still have traces of past. That's why culture and values should be considered when creating a design.
