Immigrotion theme films and women in Turkish cinema

When considering the historical process, we are confronted with the fact that the phenomenon of immigration is evoking different meanings for individual and society. This situation has made the phenomenon of migration with the variety it contains an international problem by transforming it into a personal structure. So that, many countries in the world have been affected simultaneously and visibly from the migration movements. Undoubtedly, changes in the social and physical environments of migrants also brings with it new adaptation problems. The "coexistence" that time and space change requires, creates a "filtration" effect at first. After a while, this "coexistence" unites the immigrant community with the integration process again for existence again. This process is, of course, considered to be a sign of many problems. Such that, the situation of people go to another place from where they are already stay causes deep trauma and its processes in terms of sociological and psychological origins. The intent of the trauma process here should not only be negatively understood. The trauma, which is described as a shocking condition, can bring new changes with it and help people find their self. Undoubtedly, being an individual trained under the influence of patriarchal norms and being a woman in the society structure that these norms surround are evoking different meanings. Therefore, the situation in which the woman lives, and the situations that she will live after, are different according to the immigration nature. We can say that our work is also shaped at this point. The study is based on the notion of migration in conceptual dimension. Then, reasons for migration, Turkey's immigration mobility from past to present and the place of woman in society as a gender formation have been tried to be understood in context integrity. While this is done, especially cinema, which can be fed from the social conjuncture, has become a reflective element in order to be able to see the roots of the periodical mentality. Our study which is continued on the axis of cinema, women and migration has been shaped by film analyzes that examine narrative and visual sense of female perception.
