Abstract (EN)
In this study, the interaction and distribution of the status category with the participant roles were examined. The aforementioned analysis was carried out within the framework of Michael Alexander Kirkwood Halliday's Systematic Functional Grammar Theory, and the analyzes were carried out through a sentence-limited labeling. Turkish is a language in which the case string can be clearly observed with grammatical coding, and although the sequences of words differ, it is often possible to determine which grammatical role a word plays in a sentence, thanks to the case suffixes brought to these words. While these roles are analyzed according to the Systematic Functional Grammar Theory, not only syntactic but also semantic analyzes are included. The Typescript Functional Grammar language is functional by the method of examination. The theory makes sense of language with three functions: intellectual, interpersonal, and textual. Since the study is related to roles, experiential metafunction, which is one of the sub-functions of the theory's intellectual metafunction, has been determined as the field of study. Experiential metafunction consists of six processes: material, mental, relational, existential, behavioral and verbal. In each type of process, participants have certain roles. Sword and Aim in material processes; Perceiver and Phenomenon in mental processes; Qualifying and Descriptive in relational processes; Behavior in behavioral processes; Saying in verbal processes; Roles such as Existing in existential processes are the main participatory roles of these processes. In this study, the systematic and distributional aspects of the status category in the roles of the participants in the process, consisting of nouns or noun phrases in Turkish, are discussed.
