The effects of Ak Party period local government reforms on household poverty in Turkey

The Justice and Development Party, which has been in power for twenty years in Turkish political life, has always kept the problem of poverty on its agenda and stated that it will try to solve the problem of poverty in its election manifestos and party bylaws. In today's world, to household poverty, which almost all power struggles with; In this thesis, the effects of the local government reforms implemented by the Ak Party government will be examined. It will be tried to determine the change in poverty studies with the implemented reforms of special provincial administrations, municipalities and villages, which are local government units. The eighteen years (2002-2020) the Ak Party was in power will be handled in comparison with the data of TUIK and the poverty problem will be evaluated in the light of statistical data In this study, the interventions to the problem of poverty were examined in terms of responding to the changing and developing problems.
