The assesment of the results related to the vocational courses upon the empolyment within the active empolyment policies in Turkey: example Tekirdağ

Sufficiently using the labor force and hiring the labor force with high efficiency are the key determinants of economic development and improvement. Countries display a directly proportional development with the qualification and efficiency of their labor force. However, it would not be very easy to use the labor force adequately all the time. Particularly the structure of the markets which is distant from being homogenized and obstacles in information flow decreases the efficiency of labor force. Therefore, especially applying active employment policies, and matching the labor demand and supply are highly important. In active employment policies, vocational educations have an important role. The unemployed people can become suitable for hiring and people who have a job can increase their vocational efficiency via the training courses. With no doubt, the most important role belongs to Türkiye İş Kurumu for vocational education. İŞKUR is the only public employment institution which is responsible of regulating information services of labor force, matching the labor force supply and demand and organizing training courses in order to increase qualification of labor force. In this study, the training courses which have an important role in active employment policy are investigated and the trainings provided by Tekirdağ Çalışma ve İŞKUR İl Müdürlüğü were analyzed. As a result of this analysis, the vocational educations performed over the years were interpreted considering the requirements and capacity of the city.
