Abstract (EN)

It is seen that museums around the world are created with different structures and content, offer different experiences to their visitors, and have rich and colorful areas with their collection and structural aspect. Among these differences, besides the small number of museums that have collections on graphic arts and design, they are effective and intriguing. Among these museums, the design museums, which center the art of printmaking and expand and enrich their collections in this area, are not only about collections, but also support art with education-centered approaches. There are museum collections with contemporary and traditional works on printmaking, and a rich archive in the field of graphics in terms of historical development. Having the world's original and limited print painting collection, IMOGA added more than 30 artists and more than 5000 works belonging to foreign and Turkish artists in its collection to the museum collection through donations and purchases. It is the only printing museum. This study is to investigate the place and importance of IMOGA museum in Turkish printmaking.
