Communication policy Evaluation of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey and analysis of central bank statements' effect in borsa Istanbul

In this study, the effects of central bank communication policies are examined. Whether the central bank can influence market actors through communication only without using any financial instrument, and if so, the course of this impact is investigated. In the context of the central bank communication policy, the statements of the president of the central bank and the decisions and summaries of the monetary policy committee are evaluated. Central bank monetary policy committee decisions and summaries of monetary policy committee meeting, and the president of central bank statements' effects on the BIST 100 index change is examined, in between 2006 and 2017. In the context of the central bank communication policy, the president of the central bank should mention in speech as global and financial situation, banking sector, interest policy and monetary policy committee decisions and summaries of monetary policy committee meeting should mention as economic and global situation, monetary policy, interest policy, inflation.
