Abdurrahman Çetin example after the republican period studies on the discipline of Qira'at on Turkey

Abdurrahman Çetin is a valuable man of science who has an important place in his field with his works on the Qur'anic sciences and especially his works in the field of Qira'at (recitation of the Qur'an). In this study, the life, works on Qira'at and other works in the field of Abdurrahman Çetin, a hafiz (person who memorized the Qur'an) academician were discussed as a living example of studies on the discipline of Qira'at after the Republican period in Turkey. In the study, the definition, subject, importance and history of the Qur'anic science is discussed in general terms in order to ensure the integrity of the subject. Furthermore, education activities on the discipline of Qira'at as well as academic studies carried out in this field following the Republican period in our country were mentioned.
