Abstract (EN)
The central bank uses two different methods in conducting its monetary policy. The first is to target inflation directly. The second estimates the future inflation rate using variables such as monetary aggregates, interest rates, exchange rates. Inflation targeting, which attracted attention in 1980, became an effective monetary policy in the fight against inflation. Implicit inflation targeting was implemented for the first time in our country between 2002-2006. Since 2006, inflation targeting has been implemented officially. İnflation targeting strategy in Turkey is evaluated between the years 2002-2019. Keywords: inflation targeting, monetary size, exchange rate
