Abstract (EN)
Water structures are facilities for storing, embossing and guiding in order to allow the use of the flowing water for various purposes. When calculating and constructing water structures, water structures should be designed as resistant against floods and water structures should be dimensioned to be the lowest since the current costs of water structures are very high. For this reason, measured hydrograph data is needed in places where water structures are to be constructed. However, the desired measurements and data may not always be obtained or may be missing. In this case, the data to be used in the design of these structures can be obtained by means of synthetic unit hydrograph methods. In this study, Snyder synthetic unit hydrograph method, which is one of the synthetic unit hydrograph methods, is used. The variation of Snyder synthetic unit hydrograph method parameter values (Ct and Cp coefficients) for the basins of our country was investigated. Observed average unit hydrographs (GOBHs) of selected Turkey basins were evaluated as research material. Observed average unit hydrograph values of materials used and properties of these basins; Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs General Directorate of Agricultural Research, E.İ.E. General Directorate, General Directorate of Rural Services and General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works. The unit hydrograph elements belonging to 26 sub-basins selected in our country were arranged from the observed data. Using these data, equation coefficients were calculated by Snyder method. As a result of the calculations, the values of the unit hydrograph method obtained by Snyder method were compared with the values accepted in practice. Then, Ct and Cp coefficients were regression analyzes between A / L2 and A / Tp ratio, respectively. However, no high correlation was detected. Moreover, the applicability of these coefficients for our country basins was questioned and it was concluded that the new coefficients obtained should be taken into consideration for our country basins.
