A survey on the user satisfaction of post disaster housing in rural areas of turkey: An example of Ankara-Bala-Yeniyapancarsak village

In this thesis, the problems of current disaster houses and the user satisfaction of permanent houses built by "TOKI" in "Yeniyapançarşak Village, Bala, Ankara" are investigated as a result of earthquakes occured with a moment magnitude of 5.6 on 20th and 27th of December in 2007 "in Bala Country, Ankara". In this context, whether the comfort of the new houses with the conditions of region is coherent or not, whether the qualification of the houses is good enough to satisfy wishes of victims of earthquake or not, and whether the houses provide victims of earthquake better conditions in terms of settlement plan, architectural planning, and construction materials or not are analyzed. When taking all things into architectural design for disaster housing in countryside, a reasonable conclusion can be drawn in that lifestyle is one of the most important aspects, victims' wish should not be ignored. In conclusion, living solutions have been found.
