Abstract (EN)

Turkey's Africa Initiative indicates that it is a part of Turkey's foreign policy strategy towards the African continent. This strategy aims to develop and increase Turkey's development in Africa. Of these relations, relations with Türkiye and Mauritania are particularly taken into account. Mauritania is a country located in West Africa and has known and cultural ties with Turkey. This study discusses in detail Turkey's historical ties with Africa, its "soft power" strategy and the details of official and non-governmental organizations in Africa. Turkey's activity and sharing in Africa is examined through non-governmental services of Turkish origin such as TIKA, Turkish Red Crescent, AFAD, THY, YTB, TMV, YEE, IHH, TASAM Africa Institute and TDV. These organizations serve African countries and constitute an important pillar of Turkey's activity and services in Africa. The further process of the study draws a general picture of Mauritania and focuses on its history, ethnic structure, residence status, home, political situation and economy. Data maintained regarding Mauritania's relations with Turkey and its economic, commercial and political connections with this country are presented. These data help protect the care Turkey provides with Mauritania. The cooperation between the two countries attracts attention.
