Abstract (EN)

The Eastern Mediterranean is critical from a geopolitical point of view with its rich living and non-living natural resources. There is a competition for sovereignty over the Eastern Mediterranean because of its geopolitical location and rich natural resources. Duetothemany riparian states in the Eastern Mediterranean, it becomes challenging to determine maritime jurisdiction areas. It is aimed at the maritime authorization in the Eastern Mediterranean by signing agreements with the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and Libya by the Republic of Turkey. This thesis investigates answers to the questions about determining maritime jurisdiction areas in line with the terms related to maritime jurisdiction areas and the principles established by international law. While seeking answers to questions regarding the delimitation of maritime jurisdiction areas, international decisions with similar characteristics were examined. The riparian states' Eastern Mediterranean policies are also mentioned in this review. As a result, suggestions were proposed in line with the rules and principles of international law regarding the borders of Turkey's maritime jurisdiction areas in the Eastern Meditteranean.
