Abstract (EN)

The Main argument of this thesis the is the measure taken over Libya in order for Türkiye to protect its rights arising from international law in the eastern Mediterranean and the fact that this measure can be applied to other countries. In order fort his argument to be put into practice, it is important that Türkiye's diplomatic relations with the countries in the region are strategically important. Due to the hydrocarbon reserves discovered in the region, the countries with coasts and the states without coasts in the region want to get a share of this energy. Primarily Greece, as well as EU, USA and coastal countries such as GKRY, Egypt and Israel also want to get a share of this existing energy. Especially the Megali Idea, a revisionist policy belonging to Greece, is being tried to be implemented in this region under the name of Greek thesis and doctrine. The so-called Sevilla map that Greece wants to implement poses a therat to both Türkiye and other coastal countries in the region. The agreement that Türkiye made with Libya is important in order to prevent this situation. It is possible to sign the agreement that Türkiye signed with Libya with order coastal countries when evaluated within the scope of geography and policy relations. In case of high-level cooperation with the countries in the region, it is possible to implement the measure taken over Libya with Syria, Lebanon, Palestine and Egypt. The energy in the region meets Türkiye's energy needs for 570 years while meeting Europe's needs for 30 years.
