Abstract (EN)

SUMMARY In this study, outdoor air design parameters have been determined. These parameters are to be used in selection of construction and isolation materials and heating, ventilating and air-conditioning systems' designs in agricultural buildings, residences, commercial and industrial buildings. Raw weather data were provided by the State Meteorological Service of Türkiye (DMİ) for 101 different locations representing the country. Winter design dry-bulb, and summer design dry- and wet-bulb temperatures have been prepared for the frequency levels of 99% and 97.5%, and 1%, 2.5% and 5%, respectively, which enable the engineer to match the risk level desired for the problem at hand. The weather values have been statistically analyzed for a recent 15- year period of record and tabulated to the nearest whole degree. Besides, mean daily range and median of annual extreme temperatures have also been determined. Also, prevailing wind speeds have been adapted from Kılıç and Kurtuluş (1994). The results of this study have been shown not only in tables but also, especially those which are the most frequently used, in isolines on a Türkiye map. In this way, designers can view distribution of the concerning design values across Türkiye, and can estimate the design values by interpolation for locations not found in the table.
