The effect of the video evaluation system used by the top league of Turkish Volleyball Federation on the decision-making of referees

Volleyball, which is one of the team sports, has become a sport that keeps up with technology, while strengthening its place in the international and national arena with each passing day. While the technology used in team sports has many positive aspects during the competition and in the decision making of the referees, it also has negative aspects. This study was carried out with a descriptive survey model of qualitative type, by making face-to-face interviews with 21 A and AB classification referees in TVF top leagues, and a semi-structured interview form was applied. As a result of this research carried out with volleyball referees of A and AB classification; It has been determined that the video evaluation system allows volleyball matches to be managed objectively. In addition, the referees participating in the study in order to minimize the disruptions in the GDS during the matches; They stated that some additions should be made to this system.
