Abstract (EN)

Aim: In this study, we aimed to compare the efficacy and safety of three different animal-derived natural surfactant preparations poractant alfa, calfactant and beraktant in the treatment of Respiratory Distress Syndrome. Material and method: Between June 2019 and January 2020, our hospital admitted to in the neonatal intensive care service; babies who are ≤35 weeks gestation and diagnosed with RDS and surfactant should be given babies without 5th minute APGAR score under 3, major congenital malformation, chromosomal anomaly, congenital heart disease, early neonatal sepsis, pulmonary hypoplasia and diaphragmatic hernia were included in the study group. 66 patients diagnosed with RDS were randomly assigned to three groups of 22 as poractant alpha, beractant and calfactant groups. The first surfactant dose was 200 mg / kg, and the next dose was 100 mg / kg in equal doses for all three groups. Findings: There was no statistically significant difference between the three groups FiO2 at certain time points in the first 28 days and MAP requirements at the first 48 hours at certain time points. There were no significant differences in the incidence of necrotising enterocolitis, retinopathy of prematurity, pneumothorax, intraventricular haemorrage, patent ductus arterious, bronchopulmoner dysplasia and pulmoner haemorrage among the groups. Results: In RDS, there is no superiority in the treatment of poractant alpha, beractant and calfactant in reducing the need for FiO2 and MAP and in preventing serious pulmonary and non-pulmonary complications. Keywords: Respiratory distress syndrome, poractant alpha, beractant, calfactant, fractionated oxygen, mean airway pressure.
