Abstract (EN)

Today, there are many factors that affect the mental health of societies. These factors have more devastating effects on young people. It has become increasingly important to develop university students in cognitive, emotional, social and academic aspects and to integrate them into social life. The aim of this study is to investigate perceived stress levels and aggression levels in university students using structural equation modeling. This study was conducted with 463 female and 339 male students studying at Van Yüzüncü Yıl University. The research was carried out with the relational scanning model. SPSS Statistics 22 and LISREL8.7 (student version) programs were used for analyses. In this study, the "Perceived Stress Scale" and the "Buss-Perry Aggression Scale" and a demographic information form developed by the researcher were used. The model proposed in the study was tested using the structural equation model and the model fit values were found to be acceptable. It was observed that the model developed in the study met the fit indices and the coefficients obtained were statistically significant. As a result, it has been observed that perceived stress affects the aggression levels of university students.
