Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between attachment, alexithymia and eating attitudes of university students. In addition, it was investigated whether there is a relationship between attachment, alexithymia, eating attitude with demographic variables. The research was occured according to the relational screening model. A total of 339 people participated in a study conducted with students from a foundation university. "Demographic Information Form", "Experiences in Close Relationship", "Toronto Alexithymia Scale" and "Eating Attitude Test" were applied to the participants. The data obtained in the study were analyzed with SPSS 25.0. As a result of the statistical analysis, parametric tests were used due to the normal distribution of the data. In the analysis of the data, "Independent Sample T test", "One Way Analysis of Variance (Anova)", "Post Hoc Analysis", "Pearson Correlation Analysis" and "Hierarchical Regression Analysis" were used. When the research results are examined; it was found that there was a significant relationship between attachment, alexithymia and eating attitude. Similarly, a significant difference was found between demographic information and attachment, alexithymia and eating attitude. According to the results of the hierarchical regression analysis, it was seen that TAS and its sub-dimensions had a partial mediator effect on the relationship between the ECR avoidance and anxiety dimensions and eating attitude.
