Abstract (EN)
The main purpose of this research is to examine the effects of university students' fear of Covid 19 and intolerance of uncertainty on their psychological resilience. For this purpose, the research consists of students from 6 different universities in the Republic of Turkey. Of the 405 participants participating in the study, 222 (54.8%) are female and 183 (45.2%) are male. The Coronavirus Anxiety Scale (CAS), the Intolerance of Uncertainty Scale (IUS-12), the Brief Psychological Resilience Scale (BPRS) and the Demographic Information Form created by the researcher have been used to collect the data.Cronbach Alpha values were calculated for the measurement tools used in the research and it was determined that the scales were reliable. In the comparison of the paired groups, by applying the Mann Whitney U test; A significant difference was found in the levels of CAS, BTS-12 and KPSS depending on gender, vaccination status, Covid 19 status, and chronic illness. It was observed that there was no significant difference between the levels of CAS, BTS-12 and KPSS with the marital status of university students. In the examination of the scale scores of the students participating in the study according to the faculties, by applying the Kruskall Wallis H Test; There is a significant difference between the faculty groups in terms of "COAS" and KPSS levels (p<0.05).KASandBPRS levels of those from the faculty of Education were found to be significantly lower than those of other faculties. There was no significant difference between faculty groups and BTS-12.There is a negative and significant relationship between the levels of KASandBPRS(r= -0.319, p<.0.05). As the score obtained from the KASincreases, the BPRS score decreases. There is a negative and significant relationship between the levels of IUS and BPRS (r= -0,253, p<.0,05). As the score obtained from the IUS increases, the BPRS score decreases.
