Factors impacting the entrepreneurship tendency of university students: A study conducted in Gaziantep

The purpose of the study is to determine the factors impacting the entrepreneurship tendency of university students in Gaziantep. Students of two universities, one of which is private and the other is public, participated in the study. A questionnaire was conducted to the students of faculty of engineering and faculty of economics and administrative sciences. The data obtained were analyzed using factor analysis and ordinal logistics regression. As a result of the analyses, it was found that being independent, personal and social benefits gained by being an entrepreneur are the factors that positively affect entrepreneurship intentions of students. On the other hand, entrepreneurial risk, long working hours, not having necessary skills, bureaucracy, financial problems, and legal regulations are the factors that negatively affect entrepreneurship intentions of students.
