Abstract (EN)

İn this study, Urartu inscriptions uncovered to date and Urartian works of art depicted on the Urartu fortresses and temples were tried to be evaluated. The inscriptions in our study generally emphasize the construction of the buildings and the period in which the king was built. However, informations were not given about the material used in the construction of the structure nor the details of the architectural structure. In the depicted works, the castle is depicted in detail. It is seen that the stone foundation is applied in some of the depicted works. In general, protection towers are depicted, but in some cases they are not depicted. The castle gates were double-winged and one side was scanned to indicate this. Just above the door, there are zigzags for ornamental purposes. In general, there are dendaneles built on the fortress walls for protection purposes. In some examples, the window opening is provided for viewing the lower parts of the dendaneles. Some of the front facade depictions show a window opening. The temple depictions are only found on two examples in our study. The depictions of the temple depicted were rendered more simply than the castle depictions. In the temple depictions of the tower type, the door has been processed as double winged. The Urartian castles, which are reflected in the art of the Assyrian state, which is contemporary with the Urartian state, and the fortresses that are reflected in the art of Urartian depiction are common features. However, the Assyrian specimens show less detail than the Urartian depictions.
