Abstract (EN)
The fact that for businesses macro environment factors by increasingly are having more dynamic structure required that businesses, in order to acquire sustainable competitive power, should review their manufacturing strategies and goals. It is unavoidable that advances related to national and international environment which the company is involved in, affect manufacturing strategies during the business' competition. The fact that production systems have a flexible structure has begun to be seen as a key strategy in achieving global success. In this context, it is very important to determine and define the system parameters completely and accurately while planning and designing the production systems. Since, for the production enterprises in providing the competitive advantage, developing the internal mechanisms and organizing equipments in a optimal way possessed are of great importance. As a result of the technological developments, new methods have been developed by the framework of the increase of the functionality of the computers and system analysis has been realized by creating models. The aim of the thesis study, which is prepared considering all these factors, is the balancing of the production line in the result of the findings obtained by analyzing and modeling a trousers production line using petri nets and simulation technique. In the study, Petri nets model was created by CPN tools program. By the simulation model, which is created in the Arena Program, tried to determine the bottleneck points in the production system. Then, individually line balancing studies were conducted in each module to prevent bottlenecks in this work item and other work items. Based on the findings, a general evaluation has been made and suggestions for improvement of the production system have been made.
