The effect of the values of Usak on the city image

The need for the creation of the concept of image, which is very important for cities, ever is increasing, especially with the effect of the widespread use of communication tools.Cities that want to get a share from the tourism sector, which has a high income in globalization, must have a positive image.Each city contains natural, historical and cultural values and differentiates from other cities by highlighting these values. The purpose of this study was carried out to determine the effect of these values on the city image by measuring the perception levels of the individuals residing in Uşak towards the Ulubey Canyon, Karun Treasures, Uşak Carpet, Uşak Tarhana.It is very important to determine how the city is perceived by the visitors as well as how it is perceived by the people living in the city. In the study, the effect of perception levels and the values of possessed related to Ulubey Canyon, Karun Treasures Uşak Carpet, Uşak Tarhana on the Uşak image were measured.The study was applied to 400 participants over the age of 18 who live in Uşak in total.In this way, it is aimed to determine both how well the individuals residing in Uşak know Uşak and the attitudes of the local people towards the values owned.The result of the study was reached by the data obtained by applying the survey technique are analyzed statistically in the SPSS program. The perception levels obtained as a result of the work carried out are respectively Ulubey Canyon, city image, Uşak Tarhana, Karun Treasures and Uşak Carpet.Significant differences were determined between the values possessed and the place of registry of the populationand title, but no difference was determined regarding the gender factor.A negative correlation was found between education levels and possessed values.Significant relationships were also found with regard to the wage level and age factor. When the effects of the possessed values of Uşak on the city image are examined, it has been determined that the Uşak Tarhana, Karun Treasures and Uşak Carpet have a positive effect on the city image.
