Examining the impact of cyber bullying awareness trainingdeveloped for parents

The purpose of the research, which is a great threat for families and children about cyber bullying and the cyber bullying prevention was designed by the researcher in order to gain awareness of parents, "Cyber Bullying Awareness Training For Parents" is to examine the impact of participant opinions in the light of. To determine the impact of education, the change in the sensitivity of parents of students participating in education to cyberbullying at the end of education and their views on education were examined. The Cyberbullying Sensitivity Scale and Cyberbullying Awareness Training Assessment Questionnaire were used in the collection of the data. In the study, a single group pre-test-post-test model was used from weak experimental models. A total of 80 parents from Eşref Ergin primary school, Suleyman Cura Secondary School and Meral Muammer Ağım Secondary School in Nilüfer District of Bursa and Şehit Teğmen Mesut Beyazıtli Primary School in Osmangazi District participated in the research. In the analysis of data, Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test, Kruskal Wallis Test and Mann-Whitney U Test quantitative data methods were used and the effect size was calculated for significant differences. As a result of the study, a significant difference was found between the sensitivity levels of the participants before and after the program. The effect size of the difference was calculated as low. When the relationship between parental demographic variables, age, education, operating status and gender and cyberbullying sensitivity levels were examined, no significant difference was found between sensitivity levels and demographic variables. At the end of the Program, when the frequency and percentage values of the participants ' opinions on the program were examined, it was concluded that the program had a positive effect on the participants.
