Abstract (EN)

This study was conducted to examine body compositions according to chronotype, physical activity and eating behaviors. The population of this research consists of adult individuals between the ages of 30-50 living in Kahramanmaraş, and the sample consists of 300 individuals who volunteer to participate in the research in the 30-50 age group determined by the convenience sampling method. In this research, "Demographic Information Form" was used to determine the demographic information of the participants, "Morning and Evening Questionnaire" to determine the chronotypes of the participants, "International Physical Activity Questionnaire (Short Form)" to measure the physical activity status of the participants, "Three-Factor Questionnaire" to determine the participants' eating behaviors. Nutrition Survey" was applied. For descriptive statistics of the data; frequency, percentage distributions, mean and standard deviation were used. Independent samples t test was used for comparisons involving two groups, and analysis of variance test was used for comparisons involving three or more groups. Relationships between variables were examined with Pearson correlation analysis. Pearson Chi-Square test was used to compare categorized data. While examining the differences between groups, OneWay Anova test was used for normally distributed qualitative data. Analyzes were made using SPSS 22.0 programs. As a result, it was seen that gender, education level, income level and body mass index variables did not affect the physical activity levels and eating behaviors of the participants. Being a morning person and evening person and conscious restricting behavior in eating behaviors; It was observed that the participants' body mass index and their nutritional behavior, emotional eating, uncontrolled eating and hunger sensitivity behaviors changed positively, while their body mass index, conscious nutrition restriction behavior and physical activity levels also changed negatively. A positive relationship was found between the waist circumference of female participants and the total scores of the morning person-evening person survey. It was found that there was a low-level positive significant relationship between the waist circumference of female participants and the total scores of the hunger sensitivity factor of the three-dimensional nutrition questionnaire. It is seen that there is a low-level, positive and significant relationship between the male participants' waist circumference and their total scores in the morning person-evening person survey. A negative, low-level significant relationship was determined between the participants' body mass index and their conscious restriction behaviors in physical activity and nutrition. A positive, moderately significant relationship was determined between the participants' body mass index and hunger sensitivity behaviors. It was concluded that there was a positive, low-level significant relationship between the participants' body mass index and uncontrolled eating behaviors and emotional eating behaviors.
