Abstract (EN)
Art Definition of Wassily Kandinsky forms the main part of this thesis. I will give examples from his life and evaluate his works in terms of the cultural, social and political environment of the period. I try to look deeper into his artistic interpretation based on the themes, abstract concepts and specific colors chosen by him by taking into account his approach to the art theory as well as his numerous works and writings. In order to support a better understanding of the leading role he assumed in the development of modern art, I will attempt to explain the specific definition of art given in the theoretical writings and works of Kandinsky in the light of data to be provided in this thesis.
