11 (M.Sc.Thesis) Hacı DO?AN GAZI UNIVERSITY INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY JULY 1997 ABSTRACT In this study, the production of x-rays, the physical properties of x-rays, and the principles of röntgen apparatus are investigated. The biological effects of radiation are considered. The organ doses on human body caused by röntgen radiation are calculated and their results are compared by using two different methods.
