XIV.-XV. of the century Ottoman tile and Timur comparison

The art of tile used in the architectural decoration of the Early Timurid period that reigned in today's Uzbekistan and the Ottomans from two great empires, which have the same ancestry, have been examined and analyzed within the scope of this thesis. In cities such as Bursa and Samarkand, which are geographically quite distant from each other, but whose cultural and heart-to-heart cohesion are so close, XIV.-XV. The origin, development process, technical features and ornamentation features of the tile art in both communities are explained in the period spanning centuries. In addition, late stages in the development of tile art in the historical process in terms of subject integrity are also mentioned. In the lecture; In the cities of Bursa and Samarkand, the following monuments are mentioned. These structures are: In Bursa; Among the early Ottoman Period buildings; Iznik Yesil Mosque, Bursa Yesil Mosque, Yesil Tomb, II Murat Mosque, Sehzade Ahmet Tomb, Sehzade Mahmud Tomb and Cem Sultan Tomb in Muradiye Complex. In Samarkand City: Among the Timurid Period buildings; Gür-i Mir Tomb, Şah-i Zinde Cemetery and Crown Gate, Kadı Zade Rumi Tomb, Emir Zade Tomb, Şad-i Mülk Aka Tomb, Şirin Bika Tomb, Müsamman Tomb, Tuman Aka Tomb, Tuman Aka Mosque, Kussem bin Aka Tomb , Bibi Hanım Mosque and Bibi Hanım Tomb. The tile decorations belonging to the exterior and interior spaces of these buildings, which exist in both cities and survived until today, were examined in terms of technique (tile production technique-decoration elements), and the overlapping and diverging aspects of the tiles were explained with examples. The identified production and artistic elements are classified under the name of "similar" and "different" features. With this study, the similar characteristics of the cultural interactions of both nations with each other in the same time period and in different geographies were emphasized in terms of architecture and fine arts, and it was concluded that the differences were in nudes.
