The problems faced in the process of teaching Turkish as a foreign language (The case of Skobje)

The aim of this study is to research the ongoing studies on teaching Turkish as a foreign language in Macedonia / Skopje where the historical and cultural ties are very strong, the Turkish language is learned and taught by the Turkic people in the mother tongue or the foreign language spoken, it is put forward. Thus, solutions and suggestions are made in the light of the findings obtained in order to solve the problems. The study attempted to identify the problems encountered in the language learning process of learners of Turkish as a foreign language in Macedonia / Skopje. For this purpose, the Semi-structured interview form of 22 students who completed Turkish at A1 and A2 level was applied in Skopje Yunus Emre Institute. This interview form is a form created around the opinions of 3 field experts and 3 faculty members / teachers working in the center of the institute, taking advantage of the works similar to the contents made in different countries and regions in the field writing. In the interview form, questions about the problems encountered while learning Turkish were asked and problems such as the alphabet problem, problems caused by the structure of the labguage, lack of appropriate dictionary and reading book at level, and lack of program for mobile learning were found. In order to overcome these problems, it is possible to start by publishing appropriate dictionary and reading book in Turkish-Macedonian and vi Turkish-Albanian language, which is a sample sentence that reinforces the meaning of the word that can be prepared by the contributions of the departments of Turkology and Turkish Language Literature in universities operating in Skopje. The applications of language teaching suitable for mobile learning included suggestions for solutions such as the concept of the characteristics of the cultures of the relevant languages by adopting the differences between the target language and the language before the teachers started teaching Turkish.
