The use of museums in culture sharing in teaching Turkish as a foreing language and activity examples

The existence of a society is directly related to the vitality of its language. Language is the most powerful carrier and inter generational trans mitter of culture. Knowing and learning a language; it also requires knowing and learning the culture of the nation to which that language belongs. Because the language learned with its cultural elements is learned in a more permanent and meaning ful way. Culture sharing in education is done in many ways. Diversifying learning environments, teaching lessons in interaction, making an activity- oriented plan and acting in this direction are in dispensable conditions of today education. In this context, museums are important and must have been benefit. Museums are activeen vironments that hide and preserve the cultural treasure of a nation and at the same time bring them together with the irvisitors concretely and at first hand. The aim of this study is totry tore veal the importance of museums that provide the sharing of Turkish culture, especially in teaching Turkish as a foreign language, in line with the incentives and recommend ations of the Ministry of National Education on museum education and the effective use of museums in recent years, and to evaluate ther eflections of using museums in this context on language teaching by document analysismet hod. With the study, "How can museums be used more effectively as providing culture sharing in teaching Turkish to fore ignnationals in the context of the effects of interactive environments on permanent learning?" the answers to this question have been sought. Contri buting to the teaching of Turkish as a foreign language in the field with the activity suggestions given is al soone of our main goals.
