Abstract (EN)

Throughout history, diseases and treatment methods have not only been a subject of medicine but also religions and cultures. Among the religions Jewish is the one that include these subjects in holy writings in details. In Jewish holy writing Tanah, there are distinct parts about diseases. On the other hand on this holy writings, major tasks are assigned to the Koens about diagnosis of diseases and catharsis period. This subject being in Jewish holy writings, practices being out of modern medicine and based upon faith and rituals, and a different religious class being responsible about this subject are the remarkable issues. "Diseases and Diseases Divides Accordıng to Jewish Holy Writings" study is composed of an introduction and 3 more parts. At the introduction part; besides the subject of the study, importance and the aim of the problem, boundaries of the subject, the method, conceptual framework, information about Jewish history and holy writings has been given under the "Historical Background" title. At the first part information is given about mass and epidemic diseases that are written in holy writings between the period from His Holiness Ibrahim to II. Holy Shrine. At the 2. Part special diseases peculiar to male and female are introduced. At the 3. part some issues about "tsaraat" disease that is most appeared in Jewish holy writings and tsaraat patients are discussed.
