Assesing the psychology of adult women who engaged in lethal action againist a closely related person with Rorschach test, in the contex of object relations

The aim of the study is to determine if there is a relationship between the adult womens' first object relations' structure who have been to the fatal action against a close person, and the fatal action. If there's any, to determine which early childhood object relations specifications' are caused to this lethal action is the main purpose of this study. The population of the research is women between the 18-65 ages who have been to fatal action against her spouse, partner, own child, mother, father, brother and stay in the Bakırköy, Gebze, Sincan and İzmir penitentiary institutions. The data for participants' early object relations were collected using qualitative and quantitative methods together. Psychoanalytic Oriented Pre-interview Form, Rorschach and Thematic Perception Test, which give an idea about the psychopathological structures and object relations of the persons, The Bell Object Relations and Reality Assessment Scale to understand type of relation with the object and the difficulty in assessing reality; Borderline Personality Inventory which gives information about the psychopathological structure and Emotional Regulation Difficulty Scale which gives an idea about the difficulties in the regulation of emotion, have been used. According to the results of the research; adult women who have been to fatal action to a close person have number of problems with early childhood object relations caused disruptions in the establishment of subjectivity, and these distruptions lead to lack of thought development, inability of the emotions to be encompassed by the minds which end up to the inability of symbolic capacities to evolve. In this context, it is thought that the device of thought, which is not able to developed under the influence of the destructive forces of the person, is insufficient in the face of intense emotional stimulation and left the symbolizing ability to symbolize itself through more primitive action.
