Abstract (EN)

Globalization of enterprises and conditions of competition are increasing day by day. For this reason, enterprises are focused on efficiency and cost factors to succeed. Lean Manufacturing applications aim to develop high quality production system in a short time with low cost. Kanban system provides to control and monitor production and material flows. With the application of this system; product and information flow will be handled together, without requiring any different stock management. This study includes the design of the kanban system in a bicycle manufacturing company to avoid the scrap in the scope of lean manufacturing. SIPOC analysis, fish bone diagram, FMEA are examined. Kanban card quantities are calculated and costs are examined. Milkrun application in supply chain was examined based on the lean approach in logistics. Within the scope of the research, when the current situation is examined; the improvements should be made in the flow of parts from the warehouse to the relevant departments. One of the most important concepts in lean manufacturing systems is waste. The main aim of the Kanban system is reducing the process and movement waste. Such transactions do not add value to the product, but on the contrary, they add cost.
