Abstract (EN)
The production of light steel buildings includes efficient material use and assembly time, labor and transportation economy advantages, as well as production stages, safe field and environmentally friendly activities suitable for waste reduction strategies. Light steel building production creates a potential for lean production, which aims to increase the efficiency and use of "less" resources in production activities by keeping customer (user) satisfaction at the highest level in the context of all these features. However, both physical (material) and non-physical (time, cost) wastes may occur depending on the design, construction and applications of light steel building production or the non- application of generally accepted waste reduction measures in the construction industry. These waste formations not only negatively affect the production efficiency of light steel structures, but also limit the increase in the use of light steel structures in our country. In order to prevent and reduce the wastes that negatively affect the efficiency in light steel building production, the causes of waste generation in light steel building production should be determined. With the determinations in the context of waste to be realized at the company scale, first national and then global benefits will be provided. Although there are different methods that can be carried out to determine the causes of waste, it is aimed to get the most effective result in the shortest time in the thesis study. In this context, a survey study was conducted to determine the current situation in light steel building production companies in our country, and then the data obtained were evaluated for the causes of waste generation and its prevention. Light steel building production needs to be made applicable and curable, purified from wastes and simplified with lean production, which aims to increase efficiency with techniques and practices based on "value-based approach, waste reduction, continuous improvement, just in time production and quality management". On the other hand, there is currently no guide for companies to simplification the production of light steel buildings. "(YHÇ) Building Production Guide" has been prepared in order to eliminate the lack of guideline that provides simplification in light steel building production. Companies are expected to take into account the survey evaluations and suggestions, as well as to implement the applications in the guide step by step, while producing light steel buildings. With the thesis, it is foreseen that the light steel building production actors will be conscious about the causes of waste and its prevention / reduction, the efficiency of light steel building production will be increased, the share of light steel building usage in our country will be accelerated and the "zero waste" vision will be made accessible.
