Abstract (EN)

Journal is a notebook or book in which poems or texts written on various subjects used in the sense of "journal, poetry anthology" are compiled and brought together. One of the most important sources that illuminate the different periods of our literature, reveal the unheard poems of known poets, and bring to light the lesser known or unknown poets are undoubtedly journal. Journals, which show the property of treasure with their rich content, are important works that are the source of the research of classical Turkish literature researchers. There are many such works in our manuscript libraries. Although various studies have been carried out on some of these works, there are many more journals waiting to be studied. The subject of this study is the translated into text of Mecmû'a-i Eş'âr, which is registered with the archive number "Y-593" in the Sermet Çifter Research Library, and its classification according to the Systematic Classification of Poetry Journals Project (MESTAP). Although it does not seem possible to reach a definite conclusion about the period and by whom this journal was prepared, an estimate has been made about the date of compilation by considering the centuries in which the poets whose poems are included and the biographical records of the poets. It is possible to say that this journal was prepared in the 17th century, considering that the poems of poets who lived in the 17th century are in the majority and that the poems of poets who lived in the 17th century at the latest are included in the journal. There are 546 verse and prose texts belonging to 114 poets in the journal. The first part of our study, after the definition of the journal, its shape and content features, the classification of the journal and its importance in our literature history, information about the Systematic Classification of Journals Project (MESTAP) is given. In the second part, the journal, which is the subject of our study, was introduced and the number of poets and poems, the centuries in which the poets lived, verse forms and morphological features such as meter were revealed. The poets whose poems are included in the journal, their verse forms and the meters used are also shown in tables. In the third chapter, after specifying the method followed in the establishment of the text, the translated text of the poems in the journal is given. The poems of poets who have a divan were compared with these divan copies and differences were determined. Poems or missing couplets of some poets that are not in their divans were determined and indicated both in the footnote and in the review. In the fourth chapter, the poems in the journal were classified according to the Systematic Classification of Journals Project (MESTAP).
