Abstract (EN)
The aim of the research is to ensure that students diagnosed with special talents are aware of the stress they experience and learn ways to cope with stress, to prepare a creative drama-based preventive stress coping program in order to improve their level of coping with stress, and to determine the effectiveness of the program for the students. In order to determine the effectiveness of the Creative Drama-Based Stress Coping Training Program developed within the framework of this purpose, the Stress Coping Scale for Seniors was developed by the researcher. In the research, a pretest-posttest trial model with a control group, which is one of the experimental designs, was used. The research population consists of students aged 9-11 years studying at Science and Art Centers in our country. The sample group of the research consists of specially talented students aged 9-11 who went to Beşiktaş Science and Art Center in Istanbul in the 2022-2023 academic year. "Creative Drama-Based Stress Coping Program for Specially Talented People" was implemented for 40 minutes once a week for 12 weeks. No program was applied to the students in the control group for coping with stress skills. At the end of the study, the Coping with Stress Scale was re-administered and the differences between the pretest and posttest were examined in terms of coping with stress in the groups. In the study, it was determined that the Stress Coping Scale for Gifted Students is both a reliable and valid measurement tool in determining the stress coping levels of gifted students. However, in line with the findings obtained in the research, it was determined that the creative drama-based preventive stress coping program had positive effects on developing the stress coping skills of specially talented students
