Abstract (EN)

Thoughts that we vivify in our inner world need to be expressed out for them to make sense. Expressing out of thoughts can be achieved by existence of freedom of expression. The media, which is shaped and diversified through technologic developments in today's world, assumes a very active role in achieving freedom of expression. Insomuch that now expressions instantly reach very large masses and guide communities with invention of radio, television and internet. This undeniable influence of mass media on societies has led sovereign authorities to display new attitudes towards mass media. This attitude of sovereign authority has confronted societies with a question of what would be the limit of limitation of freedom of mass media, which is the mass appearance of freedom of expression that is one of the most important fundamental rights and freedoms. This study titled "Freedom of Mass Media in Adjudications" investigated approach of Constitutional Court, Supreme Court of Appeals, Counsel of State, European Court of Human Rights to freedom of mass media with example of decisions.
