False friends in Uigur and Turkish

In this study, Turkish and Uigur were compared in terms of false friends simultaneously. In the comparison, Yeni Uygur Türkçesi Sözlüğü and Güncel Türkçe Sözlük at www.tdk.gov.tr are based. The study consists of "Introduction", "Analysis" and "Conclusion" chapters. In the "Introduction" translation and rewording terms were explained. The problems of translation between dialects were mentioned; equivalence, synonymity, homonymic were explained; phonetic of the Uigur were given. A literature search was made about false friends and the goal, content and method of the thesis were determined. In the "Analysis", detected words were examined under two main headings as "Full False Friends" and "Partial False Friends" Also under these two main headings, detected words were classified phonetically, as origin and type. In the "Conclusion" various determinations and suggestions were given.
