Abstract (EN)
Yenikapı 20 shipwreck which was found in Theodosian Harbour that was used between 4-11th centuries and unearthed during the Yenikapı Salvage excavations is subjected in this study. In this context, as an introduction, 9 years of excavations and the history of the Harbour is presented and then documentation and analysis of the Shipwreck is comprehensively explained. The construction features of the ship has been identified by studying its hull members, which is the main subject of this study, then original size and hull line plan of the ship has been added. Also YK20 ship has been compared with other Yenikapı Shipwrecks and Early Middle Age shipwrecks in Mediterranean region. This study will be a reference guide for future reconstruction work of YK20 which is dated to 9-10th century AD.
