Abstract (EN)
Regarding the Electricity Generation License directing the Electricity Market in Turkey; With the amendment of the Electricity Market Law dated 14/3/2013 and numbered 6446 within the scope of Article 14, many local power plants will be established or brought into parallel operation with the electricity networks. These plants will operate in parallel with the network and exchange power. Although the major contribution of these power plants to energy production, they cause various problems for technical personnel and other consumers during their parallel operation with the network. Therefore, electricity companies have established various rules for local power plants that will be buried in their networks. The authorities of power plant which will work in parallel with them by embedding in the main network, should be in constant contact with the local generator authorities that during the planning, installation, commissioning and operation phase. Local power plants should not harm other people's life and property rights while operating. For this reason, protection systems should be designed in the most appropriate way against power islands that occur while working in parallel with the network. While protection is practiced against islanding types that are practically practiced, some conservation practices are still under investigation. In this thesis, the advantages and disadvantages of the protection systems to date will be analyzed and solutions will be sought for the development of protection systems in the research stage. To create the most healthy solutions to the problems that could occur in our country, it was examined the solutions of islanding problems in protection systems of other countries.
